Paeonia lactiflora in combination with Cinnamomum cassia Aqueous extract Unkei-to Paeonia lactiflora and Cinnamomum cassia combination was investigated for steroid hormonal effects on cultured human granulosa cells (obtained from women undergoing IVF). Cells were incubated with different doses for 48 hours [42] One clinical trial investigated the effects of Paeonia lactiflora and Cinnamomum cassia combination (Unkei-to) [57]. This single arm study included amenorrheic women aged 17–29 years (n = 157) with a sub group of women with hyper-functioning oligo/amenorrhoea (n = 42). Ovulation occurred in 61.3% of primary amenorrheic women and in 27.3% of secondary amenorrheic women following two months of treatment [57]. 1. Increased granulosa production of oestradiol [42].

No. Seroquel doesn't have a 'noticeable effect on your perception of reality'. I don't know where you get that shit but seriously, it just knock you out cold. There's no high like in benzos, there's no euphoria like in ambien. You take it and either you are sedated if the dosage is mild or you pass out if it's too much. It's supposed to calm you down and turn you in a zombie. But again, it's not the sedation you get on benzos. It's not enjoyable, you feel shitty and slow. Nobody would take that to be high, you don't feel relaxed, ffs.
why does literally everyone supposedly buy her everything? there's always some stranger who buys her something because she's counting change, or someone (not even just pat) buying her groceries, or someone buying her some shit she doesn't need. i need to move into her or her father's neighborhood if the community is full of people who just buy strangers things. the only way i'd believe that random people irl are always buying her things is if it was because they thought she was homeless. (sorry for my english)

Getting three hours of exercise a week is enough to improve insulin sensitivity in women with PCOS, especially if you have been inactive up until now. Exercise can help you lose more weight, but more importantly, it can also help you lose the fat around your abdomen – that’s what contributes directly to insulin resistance, which fuels PCOS symptoms – even if you don’t lose any weight. That’s what happened in a 2017 small Monash University study.16  Women in this study added interval training (ie, short bursts of high-intensity exercise followed by regular or moderate intensity intervals) for part of their workout.16
Although metformin is associated with better clinical pregnancy rates (positive beta hCG) (pooled OR 2.31; 95% CI: 1.52 to 3.51; 8 trials; 707 women), there is no evidence of better live birth rates (the main variable used to evaluate the effectiveness of a treatment for infertility) when this drug is used alone (pooled OR 1.80, 95% CI: 0.52 to 6.16; 3 trials; 115 women) or in combination with CC (pooled OR 1.16; 95% CI: 0.85 to 1.56; 7 trials; 907 women) 36. From a reproduction standpoint, there is also no benefit for its use in short (less than four weeks) or long (more than four weeks) periods prior to starting CC treatment in women with PCOS. Therefore, the use of metformin should be restricted to the treatment of glucose intolerance or type 2 diabetes in women with PCOS and should not be used to induce ovulation 9,36.
Approximately 15% of women with PCOS do not respond to the maximum dose of CC and are considered resistant to this medication. Due to the anti-estrogenic effect of this drug, endometrial proliferation may be inappropriate, which decreases the chance of embryo implantation. Moreover, this effect can also change the cervical mucus characteristics with a consequent reduction in sperm penetration 17,23. If the patient does not ovulate after the use of CC, gonadotropins for timed intercourse or ovarian drilling are the next steps to manage anovulatory infertile women with PCOS 9.
Chicken and egg: was Luna an asshole who started drugs and became even more of an asshole, or did she start drugs that turned into an asshole? A lot of what's wrong with her has little to do with her addiction - e.g. her desperate attempts at focusing everything into a mad scramble for sympathy (some bum died, so she wrote a story that made it look as if he had been her closest friend so people tell her they're sorry etc.) derive from her being an asshole, not from her addiction. Anyone who consciously wants to become a junkie for an aesthetic is already way deeply fucked imho.
Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) can be a daunting diagnosis to receive. The National Polycystic Ovary Syndrome Association defines the condition as a “genetic, hormonal, metabolic, and reproductive disorder that affects women.” (1) One in 10 women have it (about half don’t know it), and the complications can include infertility, obesity, and mood disorders.

Polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) is a highly prevalent hormonal and metabolic disorder among reproductive aged women worldwide. Women with PCOS have widely varying phenotypes and seek medical care for differing reasons. In addition to concern for menstrual cycle function, ovulation, hirsutism and acne, many PCOS women have abnormal glucose metabolism. While diabetes mellitus and impaired glucose tolerance are easily diagnosed, the diagnosis of and concern for insulin resistance as a precursor disorder is underappreciated. Insulin resistance may be the first important marker of metabolic disease in PCOS women at risk for metabolic syndrome and coronary artery disease.

Like >>409129 said, there are non-opioid painkillers. But the chemical component of opioids that relieves pain is not the same component that causes a high anyway. We already have partial opiate agonists (like Suboxone) that people have been on for years. From what I've read about a vaccine like this, opioids could still be administered with the intended effect of substantial pain relief. With no unwanted side effects (high). Someone please correct me if I'm wrong, this prospect really excites me. Something like this could lead to a whole new class of painkilling drugs for people with chronic pain, allowing them to function without being high at all times.
Patients with polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) who have impaired glucose tolerance should start a comprehensive program of diet and exercise to reduce their risk of developing diabetes mellitus. Encourage moderate physical activity, provided the patient has no contraindications. Discourage smoking because of the increased risk of cardiovascular disease. In addition, obese women with PCOS can benefit from a low-calorie diet for weight reduction.

This can be a key element for dynamic health for women with polycystic ovarian syndrome and must be considered a regular a part of your routine. Exercise can definitely boost the body’s sensitivity to sugar and address insulin resistance. It is also a great way to feel good and maybe learn a new skill. There are so many types of exercise you should be able to find something that appeals to you and is appropriate for your fitness level. Some fun exercise choices could include walking, housework, gardening, biking, running, swimming, yoga, and weight lifting as well as sports like soccer, squash, softball, tennis, skiing or even salsa dancing.
Combination birth control pills — those with estrogen and Prometrium (progesterone) — are frequently prescribed to women with PCOS not looking to get pregnant. If the main concern is irregular periods and the resulting potential health risks, this is a great option. “Birth control pills are very good for protecting the lining of the uterus in women who are chronically anovulatory,” says Dunaif.
Not necessarily. I've been on Benzos off and on since I was 13 (12 years) for panic attacks, social anxiety, etc. and I'm fine. There are also Benzos that give less of that 'floaty feeling' like Ativan. Not to start a discussion about what addiction is or isn't but I think how a drug makes you think and feel and want is completely personal and genetic.

Some people don't gain weight. It's not the antipsychotic that make you gain weight per se anyway (it does kinda fuck up metabolism thp) but the munchies you get from it. I don't see Luna being able to handle them enough to stay at normal weight if she had it, she's always snacking on shit, it would only be worse with the quietapine generated ravenous hunger.
Regardless of what reasons women have for seeking diagnosis and treatment of PCOS, it is imperative for practitioners to assess a woman’s risk for CAD. Assessment should probably be made in all PCOS patients regardless of BMI. Especially in young women or adolescents, IR may be the first identifiable risk factor. Practitioners must recognize that no universal test for IR exists and must use good clinical judgment to assess metabolic status in women. Stimulated testing with OGTT may be more sensitive than fasting measurements. Women who demonstrate IR should be counseled on lifestyle modifications. Physicians should discuss with their patients a target BMI that is realistically obtainable. It is often advisable for patients to seek nutritional assessment and counseling to help with this goal. In many individuals, consideration should be given to pharmacological treatment. Although the most commonly used medication is metformin, other medications may be appropriate first line therapy, especially in women not actively seeking pregnancy.
Sylvia Rebecca - "I have to share how good I feel since joining this program. I have been on it for 3 weeks. I take the supplements faithfully, started working out, eat better and drink half my body weight in water. My mood swings are better and I just feel happier. For the last 3 years I have been depressed and did not want to do anything, but look at me now. I am hoping that my period will start soon. This is the next step for me. I do not get a period without taking Provera. You guys are also an amazing group of women and so happy to be on this journey with all of you. A NEW ME!!!!!!"
Your health care provider will ask you a lot of questions about your menstrual cycle and your general health, and then do a complete physical examination. You will most likely need to have a blood test to check your hormone levels, blood sugar, and lipids (including cholesterol). Your health care provider may also want you to have an ultrasound test. This is a test that uses sound waves to make a picture of your reproductive organs (ovaries and uterus) and bladder (where your urine is stored). In girls with PCOS, the ovaries may be slightly larger (often >10cc in volume) and have multiple tiny cysts.

This is a really big deal, because GnRH antagonist drugs are pretty common and used to treat some cancer. They are also part of the treatment for women with PCOS who are stimulating their ovaries for IVF and egg-freezing. This study suggests that we might be able to stop PCOS before it develops by treating pregnant women with this drug, and we can potentially use it to treat women who currently have PCOS. It is important to note that there are two commonly recognized types of PCOS, a lean phenotype and an obese phenotype. The authors explain that their mouse model most closely resemble the lean PCOS phenotype, so this treatment might not be able to help all women with PCOS. However, it is still an important step forward.
Where PCOS is associated with overweight or obesity, successful weight loss is the most effective method of restoring normal ovulation/menstruation, but many women find it very difficult to achieve and sustain significant weight loss. A scientific review in 2013 found similar decreases in weight and body composition and improvements in pregnancy rate, menstrual regularity, ovulation, hyperandrogenism, insulin resistance, lipids, and quality of life to occur with weight loss independent of diet composition.[73] Still, a low GI diet, in which a significant part of total carbohydrates are obtained from fruit, vegetables, and whole-grain sources, has resulted in greater menstrual regularity than a macronutrient-matched healthy diet.[73]
